Golden Oat Milk Chia Pudding with Coconut Cream

Turmeric and coconut are a match made in heaven, so we had to try them in oat milk chia pudding! This recipe is the perfect breakfast or snack made with all wholesome, organic ingredients to fuel your body.

What is chia pudding?

Chia pudding combines chia seeds and plant-based milk for a uniquely delicious snack! When chia seeds soak in milk for a couple of hours or overnight, they absorb the liquid to create a pudding consistency that’s reminiscent of tapioca.

If you’ve never made chia pudding, it may seem intimidating to try at first. But we promise you, it’s one of the easiest meals to make ahead. For two servings, just put ¼ cup chia seeds and 1 cup Willa’s Oat Milk in a jar (or split between two jars), let sit overnight, and voilà! You have a delicious and nutritious breakfast ready to enjoy. The best part about chia pudding is that it is super customizable to your flavor preferences. In the morning, add whatever toppings and mix-ins you’re in the mood for.

Chia seed nutrition

You may have heard people categorize chia seeds as a superfood - and this is for good reason! Chia seeds are packed with omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, protein, and even more nutrients. This makes chia pudding an incredible breakfast to fuel your body through the morning.

Benefits of turmeric

Turmeric is one of the most healing foods on the planet and has been used as a medicinal supplement dating back nearly 4,000 years. The strong yellow root contains over 300 components, from minerals like iron, niacin, zinc, and potassium, to anti-inflammatory agents, to compounds like curcumin which is currently being researched for cancer treatment.

Golde Turmeric Latte Blend

We are huge fans of fellow Brooklyn brand Golde and support their mission to “make wellness easy, accessible and fun for all”. They make incorporating superfoods into your diet so delicious and simple! For the turmeric component of this recipe, we used their Turmeric Latte Blend. If you don’t have Golde’s mix, just swap it out for a teaspoon of turmeric powder.
